From Cruise Port: Picton
With a cruising time of around 30 minutes and crossing the main reach of the Queen Charlotte Sounds we will arrive at Double Cove, a sheltered haven of holiday homes, cormorants and our famous pet fish.
Your friendly skipper will give a full commentary and answer any questions along the way as he points out some amazing water front properties and wild life nestled up in the coves.
We then come to the highlight of the cruise where together we feed the pet fish from the vessel - Herring, Mullet and Big Blue Cod along with the birds that like to join in the fun.
Then sit back as we depart Double Cove and take you on a cruise of discovery venturing into Lochmara Bay, Onahau Bay and around the Grove Arm of the inner Queen Charlotte Sound. The cruising area is surrounded by years of regenerating beech forest and you will be forever reaching for your camera in this pristine and beautiful wilderness.
Covering 15 nautical miles this two hour return trip will allow you to see some of the best of the Marlborough Sounds in a limited time frame.

- Meeting point is on the main water front of Picton (corner of Wellington Street and London Quay). This cruise starts at 1.30pm so you need to be at the meeting point, which is a 10 minute walk from the I-Site, by 1.10pm at the latest.
